our story
A late-night counter in Boston's South End. Tacos, pupusas, and a dessert case that doesn't match the rest of the menu — on purpose.

Open when Boston isn't
Most kitchens in the South End call last orders while the night is still going. Ours doesn't. The counter at 147 E Berkeley runs to 2:30 in the morning, and to 3 on Fridays and Saturdays — for the shift that just ended at Boston Medical, the crowd walking back up Washington Street, and anybody who decided at midnight that dinner was a mistake.

Tacos, pupusas, and baklava
Tacos al pastor and birria share the menu with Salvadoran pupusas griddled to order, and the dessert case runs to baklava, kunefe and kazandibi. It is not the tidiest culinary story in Boston. It is what people actually order here, and everything on it is made to the same order-at-the-counter, eat-before-it-cools rule.

Order straight from us
The delivery apps list this menu about twenty percent higher than the counter does, because that is what their commission costs. Ordering here is the counter price, it reaches the same kitchen, and the whole ticket stays with the restaurant.
147 E Berkeley Street
Between the Pike and the Cathedral, a short walk from the Ink Block and SoWa, with the Silver Line at Herald Street. Come in and order at the counter, or put a pickup order in from here and collect it when it's ready.
Hungry now?
The kitchen is open late. Pickup orders come straight to the counter.
